Window Styles & Types
Single Sliders
A window that opens by sliding it sideways horizontally.
Single Hung
A window that opens by sliding the bottom upwards vertically. This is a classic window that gives you the same type of appearance of the traditional Victorian style windows.
Picture (and Picture over Slider)
A window that does not open. This has no hardware and is often used where no ventilation is required or where other openers are close by and another opener is not required.
Casement
A crank out windows that opens out sideways. A common window that can be used anywhere. Installed with Truth hardware so they seal tightly and precisely year after year.
Awning
A crank out window that opens out from the bottom. Perfect for place where windows need to stay open even if it rains, such as living rooms, bathrooms, kitchens and the laundry.
Double Hung
A window that opens in by sliding the bottom upwards vertically and the top downwards vertically. This window opens in both directions.
Double Slider (and Tri Slider)
A window that opens by sliding in horizontally in both directions left and right. This window is often used in the basement where egress code is required and to get drywall through.
Bay
A window that is curved and has 3 divided sections. This is a traditionally in the living room or in the kitchen window, often a casement on each side.
Bow
A window that is curved and has 5 divided sections. This is a classic large traditional living room and family room window giving a spectacular outside view, often with a casements on each side.
